Bio

Lisa Drago Piechowski is a board certified forensic psychologist and is licensed as a psychologist in six U.S. states (Maryland (#4827), Washington (#1000928), Virginia (#810005203), Massachusetts (#6769), New York (#12301), and New Jersey (#4335)). She is the 2016 president of the American Board of Forensic Psychology and previously served as chair of the American Psychological Association Committee on Professional Practice and Standards and the Committee on Legal Issues. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Massachusetts in 1993.

Dr. Piechowski specializes in civil forensic psychology, especially in relation to disability, fitness for duty, and personal injury. She is the author of the book Best Practices for Forensic Mental Health Assessments: Evaluation of Workplace Disability as well as numerous articles and book chapters. She has presented on these topics at professional conferences in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the U.K. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Piechowski is an associate professor of clinical psychology at the American School for Professional Psychology, Washington DC.
